Jardins de Miramar, Urban park in Sants-Montjuïc, Spain.
Jardins de Miramar is an urban park in Barcelona featuring multiple garden sections with flower beds, low hedges, and diverse tree species across its grounds. Positioned 60 meters above sea level on the Carretera de Miramar, it serves as a connector between different parts of the Montjuïc mountain landscape.
The gardens were designed between 1919 and 1923 by Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier and Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí. They were created in preparation for Barcelona's 1929 International Exhibition.
Sculptures by Catalan artists sit throughout the gardens, reflecting the artistic vision of early 20th century Catalonia. These works blend naturally into the planted spaces and give the park a refined character.
The park is accessible from the Carretera de Miramar with several entry points leading to different sections. The elevated position on the mountainside makes navigation straightforward and offers good views while walking through.
A central fountain area features ornamental female figures and serves as a focal point within the gardens. From this elevated vantage point, visitors can see out across Barcelona's port and skyline.
