Biblioteca Pública del Estado en Burgos

The State Public Library of Burgos sits on Plaza San Juan and combines modern design with structural elements from the former San Juan Hospital. The building features a continuous glass facade that opens the interior spaces to the public square outside.

Founded in 1871, the library moved through various locations over its history before relocating to its current site in 2012. This new location on Plaza San Juan marks a significant development that integrated the institution into the city's UNESCO World Heritage zone.
