The construction of Casa Díaz Cassou began in 1900 under architect José Antonio Rodríguez and reached completion in 1906 after resolving municipal disputes.
Pedro García del Bosque painted intricate frescoes throughout the main floors and central staircase of the building between 1907 and 1908.
The building now houses the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and remains open to visitors Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM without entry fee.
The structure combines administrative functions with preserved architectural elements, including decorated interior spaces that reflect early 20th-century Spanish design.
