Platja des Talaier, Menorca, Natural beach in Ciutadella de Menorca, Spain.
Platja des Talaier is a beach on the southwestern coast of Menorca with fine white sand tucked between two headlands. The water is shallow and shelves gradually, while pine forests begin just behind the sand.
The area was long used as a fishing ground by Menorca's coastal population. It was later monitored by coastal guards who watched from lighthouses to keep the waters safe.
The beach is valued by locals who visit to experience the untouched coastal landscape while respecting its natural state. The surrounding pine forests and dunes create a natural frame that shapes how the place feels when you arrive.
Access is on foot via a roughly 20-minute walk from the free parking area at Son Saura. You can follow either the coastal path or an inland route depending on which works better for you.
The western side of this beach is soft sand while the eastern side transitions into rocks, creating two different zones for varied activities. This natural split was formed by a large rock outcrop that divides the two coastal sections.
