Church of Saint Peter, Vilaflor

The Church of Saint Peter sits at about 1400 meters altitude in Vilaflor and displays traditional Canarian ecclesiastical architecture with distinctive windows and a portico entrance. The structure features a proven design with stone facades and a bell-bearing tower that shapes the village's appearance.

The building began in 1533 as a hermitage built by the Soler family and was elevated to parish church status in 1568 under the Diocese of La Laguna. This conversion marked the growing importance of Vilaflor as a religious and social center in the mountain region.
