The Museum of the City of Valencia occupies a seventeenth-century palace featuring baroque elements, classical architecture, and a dome decorated with sgraffito patterns.
The Palace of the Marqués de Campo, which houses the museum since 1989, underwent significant renovations in the mid-nineteenth century under Mayor José Campo y Pérez.
The museum displays collections of Valencian artworks spanning from the 15th century to present day, including paintings, sculptures, engravings, and artistic metalwork.
The museum opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM, Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM, with admission at €2 and free entry on holidays.
The building achieved the status of Asset of Cultural Interest in 2007, representing significant architectural heritage with its ornate courtyard and decorated central staircase.
