Platja de l'Auir

Platja de l'Auir is a natural beach on the Mediterranean coast of Gandia with wide sandy stretches and fine white sand. Dunes and natural plants help protect the shore from urban sprawl, with a river forming a boundary on one side.

The beach was protected from intensive development that reshaped much of the Mediterranean coastline during the 1900s through conservation efforts. These measures helped keep the shoreline in a more natural state compared to many surrounding areas.

The shore serves as a stopover point for migrating birds traveling along the Mediterranean coast during seasonal transitions. Birdwatchers visit regularly to observe the different species that pass through the area.
