Igrexa de Santiago de Bembrive

The Igrexa de Santiago de Bembrive is a Romanesque church near Vigo with a single nave and distinctive decagonal apse. Three doorways provide entry into the space, where columns display ornamental details inspired by Celtic traditions.

The building was constructed between the late 12th and early 13th centuries on a site that previously held a monastic temple. Later centuries brought Gothic modifications that layered onto the original Romanesque design.
