Cala Serena

Cala Serena is a sandy beach in Felanitx along the Mediterranean coast, located in a sheltered cove with calm water. The shoreline features a mix of sand and rocky outcrops that shape the beach's natural layout and create its distinctive character.

The beach became part of Mallorca's Mediterranean coast during the tourism boom of the 1960s. It managed to stay relatively undeveloped compared to many other nearby coastal areas that transformed rapidly during that period.

The beach draws local swimmers who visit during quieter months to enjoy the calm water and solitude. Few tourists arrive here, so visitors share the space with residents who use it as part of their everyday routine.

There are no facilities like showers or toilets on the beach, so bring your own water and food. Access is straightforward, but parking is limited nearby, so arriving early in the day works best.

Small rock pools form between the stone outcrops when the tide goes out, creating natural basins to explore. These tidal pools offer an unexpected discovery for visitors who want to examine sea life and rock formations up close.
