Cala Petita

Cala Petita is a small beach in Santanyí with pale sand measuring roughly 100 meters wide and 40 meters long. Limestone cliffs frame the cove and create natural shelter that helps keep the water calm during warm months.

The cove served as a maritime hub during Arab rule in Mallorca and later held strategic importance during regional military conflicts. The limestone formations show traces of centuries of use by seafarers.

Local fishermen maintain traditional fishing practices in the waters near Cala Petita, contributing to the preservation of regional maritime customs.

The beach has no facilities, so bring your own supplies and shade. A short walk from the parking area leads to the cove, and shallow water near the rocks makes swimming safe for beginners.

The combination of shallow waters and protective rock formations creates natural swimming pools with consistent water temperatures throughout summer months.
