Las Nieves II spans about 210 meters of shoreline with a width of about 30 meters, composed of pebbles and sand mixed together. The beach sits directly beside the port of Las Nieves along Gran Canaria's northwestern coast.
The coastal area developed together with the port of Las Nieves, which served as a strategic shipping point for northwestern Gran Canaria. The harbor became an important hub for trade and maritime activities in the region.
The whitewashed buildings around the beach follow strict color rules, and properties near the port traditionally feature blue doors as a local architectural requirement. This style shapes the area's character and reflects traditions that visitors still see today.
Access is via the C-810 road, with parking available and public transport stops within walking distance. The water and beach remain accessible year-round, though wave conditions vary with the seasons.
The beach connects to natural rocky pools called Las Salinas, which once served to extract salt from seawater. Today these deeper basins function as sheltered swimming spots with calmer water than the open beach.
