Racó del Conill

Racó del Conill is a cove about 160 meters long with a mix of pebbles and sand, split into two sections by a rock that juts into the water. The bay is small and sheltered, with water that changes color depending on the light and depth.

This cove developed into a naturist beach starting in the 1970s and has remained one of the primary locations for this purpose in the Marina Baixa region. The long-standing use has given it an established role along the coast.

The beach sits near Torre del Aguiló, a watchtower built in the 1500s to protect the coast from pirates. This proximity to an old defensive structure shapes how visitors experience the shoreline and connects the place to its seafaring past.

The beach is about 3 kilometers from La Vila Joiosa town center and has parking available nearby. From there, you need to walk a fair distance to reach the shore, so comfortable shoes are a good idea.

The seabed here is covered with extensive meadows of seagrass that support the local ecosystem and keep the water exceptionally clear. This underwater vegetation is a signature feature of this area and shows just how clean the marine environment remains.
