West Beach Promenade

The West Beach Promenade is a white concrete walkway that runs along Poniente Beach with curved forms and multiple levels. Colored ceramic tiles are integrated throughout the structure and blend seamlessly with the shoreline.

The promenade opened in 2009 as part of a major urban renewal effort to modernize the beach area. It represents a key moment in transforming this section of the coastline.

The walkway patterns reflect the character of Mediterranean waters and local coastal features through its design language. This visual connection helps visitors feel part of the natural landscape they are walking through.

The walkway features stainless steel handrails, minimalist seating, and integrated lighting that make it comfortable to walk at any time of day. Multiple viewing areas provide good spots to pause and enjoy views of the sea.

The ceramic tiles were custom-engineered to resist sand accumulation and water absorption at this specific location. Their gradient color pattern creates a visual effect that subtly shifts as you walk along the path.
