Parc de l'Aigüera

Parc de l'Aigüera is an urban park at the heart of Benidorm with wide avenues lined with palm trees, manicured gardens, and two amphitheaters for outdoor events. The space connects the city's older and newer neighborhoods through continuous green corridors and open plazas.

The park was designed by architect Ricardo Bofill in 2004 using neoclassical principles to replace a former traffic area. This transformation marked a shift toward making the city center more pedestrian-friendly and connected.

The park hosts two large amphitheaters where concerts, festivals, and performances take place throughout summer, including the annual Benidorm song festival. These venues are central to the city's cultural calendar and shape how residents and visitors experience local events.

The park is accessible through multiple entry points, with convenient parking available at Avinguda De L'Aigüera and nearby streets. It is best to arrive early when attending performances, as seating fills quickly during larger events.

The park houses a bullfighting museum and the city's Municipal Music Conservatory within or near its boundaries. These cultural institutions often go unnoticed by visitors who see it primarily as a green gathering space.
