The museum spans 5000 square meters with contemporary architectural design by Emilio Tuñón Arquitectos, featuring white geometric volumes and garden spaces.
The museum opened in December 2010 and expanded in February 2021 with a new building, marking a transformation in the cultural landscape of Cáceres.
The collection contains more than 3,000 artworks from international artists including Goya, Picasso, Louise Bourgeois, Kandinsky, Helena Almeida, and Ai Weiwei.
Visitors can access the museum without charge Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:30.
The museum hosts monthly DJ sessions on the last Friday, combining visual art appreciation with music performances in its exhibition spaces.
