Ciprés Calvo del Estanque del Palacio de Cristal

The Bald Cypress at the Crystal Palace Pond is a deciduous conifer with fine, needle-like foliage arranged in two rows along its branches. The tree stands directly beside the historic glass structure and shapes the visual character of this garden location.

The conifer sheds its needles in autumn, displaying reddish-brown tones before becoming bare. This seasonal change helps visitors observe the park's natural rhythm throughout the year.

The specimen develops woody protrusions called pneumatophores at its base, allowing it to draw oxygen from above the waterline. This adaptation is typical for conifers that grow in wet or damp soil.
