The building, originally constructed during Fernando VII's reign as part of El Retiro Park's zoo, transformed into a public library in April 2013.
The library maintains specialized collections focused on environmental topics and provides adaptable reading materials, including audio books and braille texts.
Located at Paseo Fernán Núñez 24, the library operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 21:00 and weekends from 8:30 to 15:00.
The facility incorporates magnetic induction loops and accessible layouts throughout its spaces, ensuring comprehensive access for visitors with reduced mobility.
