Seinäjoki white guard, Neo-classical civic building in Seinäjoki, Finland

The Seinäjoki Defence Corps building features a three-story structure with a stone ground floor and wooden upper levels for offices and residential spaces.

Constructed between 1924 and 1926, the building served as headquarters for the Southern Ostrobothnia Defence Corps until the end of World War II.

The building houses the Civil Guard and Lotta Svärd Museum, preserving the history of these Finnish organizations through exhibitions and artifacts.

The museum complex includes a main building with exhibition spaces, meeting rooms, and an information desk, plus an outbuilding with historical service facilities.

The circular assembly hall features decorative paintings inspired by Pompeii, while the building incorporates an unusual stair arrangement flanking the arched entrance.
