Viinikka Church

Viinikka Church is a place of worship with a single-nave hall and a tower that narrows into a spire, with an additional wing following the slope of the site. The complex includes a vicarage and parish hall alongside the church building itself.

Architect Yrjö Waskinen won the design competition in 1927 from among 36 entries, leading to the building's completion and opening in 1932. It was groundbreaking as the first structure in Finland to combine church, vicarage, and parish hall in one complex.

The interior uses black and white colors with stone mosaic floors, showing design choices typical of Finnish churches from the 1920s. These elements shape how the space looks and feels inside.
