Koiton talo, Art Nouveau office building in Kamppi, Finland
The Koiton talo stands at the intersection of Simonkatu and Yrjönkatu streets, featuring a distinctive corner tower and architectural details from 1907.
The temperance society Koitto initiated the construction in 1904, with financial support from senators August Ramsay and J. R. Danielson-Kalmari.
The building contained a theater hall that was extended in 1929, becoming a center for performing arts and social gatherings in Helsinki.
The five-story structure now operates as part of the Forum shopping center, maintaining both office spaces and commercial areas.
During World War II in 1944, the building endured bombing damage and later received an additional floor in the 1950s designed by architect Ilmari Ahonen.
