Aurajoki railway bridge

The Aurajoki railway bridge is a concrete arch structure spanning 48 meters across the Aura River in central western Finland. It carries the railway line between Turku and Toijala and is now recognized as a museum structure demonstrating early concrete construction techniques.

The bridge was built in 1924 as part of Finland's railway expansion during the early twentieth century. Concrete arch construction was still relatively new at the time and this project demonstrates how such techniques connected distant parts of the country.
