Château de Chanteloup, former French château near Ambois
Château de Chanteloup was a baroque castle in Amboise known for its lavish architectural design. The structure no longer stands, but the Pagoda of Chanteloup remains on the former estate grounds as a surviving remnant of the property.
The castle was built in the 18th century as a residence for a wealthy nobleman and displayed typical baroque features of its era. The complex later fell into decline and was eventually demolished, leaving only the associated pagoda as evidence of its former grandeur.
The original castle itself is no longer accessible as it has been completely demolished. Visitors can explore the former grounds and view the surviving Pagoda of Chanteloup to get a sense of the estate's former character.
