Jardin des Rosiers – Joseph-Migneret

Jardin des Rosiers is an urban park in the Marais with a rectangular lawn bordered by birch trees and various flowering plants. The layout creates connected spaces where visitors can rest and enjoy green surroundings within the dense neighborhood.

The garden was created by joining private green spaces from three 17th-century mansions into a single public area. It later took its name from Joseph Migneret, a school director who sheltered Jewish people during World War II.

The garden brings together sections that once belonged to three separate mansions, each retaining its own distinct appearance. Walking through these areas, you can still sense where one property ended and another began.

The garden can be reached from several streets and is near the Saint-Paul metro station. Visitors have multiple entry points depending on which direction they approach from.

A tall industrial chimney from an old metal processing factory stands within the garden as an unusual reminder of the area's manufacturing past. This structure adds an unexpected industrial element to the green space.
