Montagne de Sous-Dine

Montagne de Sous-Dîne is a mountain in the Bornes range standing at 2004 meters with steep cliffs marking its northern face. The terrain offers dramatic views and varied landscapes throughout the ascent.

The mountain lies in a region with important war history, and nearby memorials document events from World War II. These sites mark the role of French Resistance fighters and local struggles during the occupation.

Local hiking groups gather at the summit to share traditional Alpine meals while observing the surrounding mountain landscape of the French Alps.
