The Montagne des Auges rises to 1822 meters in elevation and features a limestone ridge measuring 400 meters in width within the Bornes massif.
The mountain overlooks the Glières plateau, which served as a strategic location for French Resistance operations during World War II.
The Auges chalets at the summit maintain the traditional alpine farming practices of Haute-Savoie and preserve mountain pastoral heritage.
The ascent from Glières plateau takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, covering 7.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 390 meters.
From the peak, visitors can observe panoramic views of the Mont Blanc massif, Chablais region, Lake Geneva basin, and Jura mountains.
