Eredvi basilica

The three-nave basilica measures 13 by 21 meters and features stone construction with tiled roofing characteristic of medieval Georgian religious architecture.

The foundation of the church was laid by architect Tevdore Taplaisdze in 906, as documented through inscriptions preserved on the building structure.

The basilica holds the status of an Immovable Cultural Monument of National Significance, reflecting its importance in Georgian architectural heritage.

Following the events of 2008, access to the church remains restricted, and religious services are limited by local administrative regulations.

The structure includes an ambulatory surrounding the main building and two towers from the 13th century, with carved stone decorations at its entrances.
