L'Huillier-Coburg Palace in Edelény, Baroque château in Edelény, Hungary.
The seventh largest palace in Hungary features a U-shaped structure with a horizontal main façade and stands on Bódva island.
Jean-Francois L'Huillier commissioned the construction between 1716 and 1730, employing eighteen bricklayers and numerous laborers to complete the project.
The palace contains the largest collection of rococo frescoes in Hungary, painted by Ferenc Lieb across six rooms in 1770.
The palace welcomes visitors from April through October between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with winter hours adjusting to 5:00 PM closing time.
Local stones formed the walls and foundations, while timber traveled more than 20 kilometers to reach the construction site.
