Alwar

Alwar is a city in the state of Rajasthan, located at the foot of the Aravali mountain range in northwestern India. Streets run through residential neighborhoods and markets, while several palaces and temples stand among modern buildings.

Maharaja Pratap Singh founded a princely state in the 18th century that facilitated trade between Delhi and Jaipur. The following period brought the construction of palaces and forts that still shape the cityscape today.
