Bansihari community development block

Bansihari is a community development block in West Bengal, located within Gangarampur subdivision. The area is organized into four administrative sections and contains approximately 160 villages with a population of around 141,000 residents.

This block was established in the early 1960s as part of a national rural development program. The district boundaries were reorganized in the 1990s, placing it in the current Dakshin Dinajpur district.

The community speaks Bengali and Santali languages, reflecting the region's linguistic character. These two languages shape daily communication and social life across the different villages.
