Gor-E-Shahid Eidgah Maidan, Islamic prayer ground in Dinajpur, Bangladesh

Gor-E-Shahid Eidgah Maidan is a 22-acre prayer ground in Dinajpur, Bangladesh. Its Mughal-style Eidgah Minar has 52 domes, two 60-foot minarets, and a 55-foot mehrab with 32 arches. The minaret is 516 feet wide and built of ceramic tiles, with electric lamps on each dome.

Eid congregations have been held on this field since the 1947 partition of Bengal, though for decades there was no permanent mimbar. The district administration began building one in 2015, planned and funded by Iqbalur Rahim, MP for Dinajpur-3 and a whip in the national parliament. The completed structure cost about Tk 3.75 crore.

The maidan serves as a gathering place for Muslims from across the region during major religious celebrations. The way people use this space reflects its importance as a center for community worship and religious observance.
