Joshi's Museum of Miniature Railway

Joshi's Museum of Miniature Railway is a model train museum in Erandwane, Pune, featuring multiple operational railway layouts with detailed urban scenes. The installations include 65 signals, fences, lamp posts, and flyovers through which miniature trains travel across intricate settings.

Bhausaheb Joshi established the museum in 1998 after collecting train models for many decades, having developed his passion during a stay in London in 1959. His collection eventually grew into a functional railway operation with detailed miniature layouts.

The museum depicts everyday Indian urban life through miniature human figures, train stations, and local scenes arranged across its railway layouts. Visitors observe common moments such as people waiting on platforms and street activities that mirror real life in cities across the country.
