Aravali Biodiversity Park, Gurgaon

Aravali Biodiversity Park, Gurgaon, Nature park in Gurgaon, India

The Aravali Biodiversity Park is a nature park in Gurgaon that spans 380 acres and houses over 300 species of native plants from the Aravalli mountain range. The grounds feature walking trails that let visitors move through different plant zones and see how the landscape is organized.

The park was created in 2010 on land that had been used for mining and was turned into a protected natural area. The transformation shows how damaged sites can become habitats for local plants and animals again.

Schools and community organizations use the park as a place to learn about protecting local plant species and natural habitats. Visitors can see how people in the area value keeping these native plants alive for future generations.

The park opens at sunrise and closes at sunset, with two entry points for visitors to access the grounds. Guided nature walks are available if you want to explore with someone who knows the trails and plants.

The park has a butterfly conservatory with 54 documented butterfly species that you can observe there. It also serves as a research center where scientists study how wildlife adapts to living near the city.
