Ackerlspitze, Mountain summit in Tyrol, Austria.
The Ackerlspitze rises to 2329 meters, forming the second highest peak in the Kaisergebirge range of eastern Tyrol with vertical rock faces.
Karl Thurwieser and J. Carl, guided by Stephan Unterrainer, completed the first recorded recreational climb of Ackerlspitze on October 1, 1826.
The mountain represents a significant element of the Kaiser Mountains nature reserve, drawing experienced alpinists from across Central Europe.
The ascent requires technical climbing skills and equipment, following a 13-kilometer route from Tannbichl in Going through forest path 826 to Ackerlhütte.
From the summit, climbers observe the Chiemsee lake in Bavaria, the Großvenediger peak, and an old icefield that persists in Niedersessel Cirque until mid-July.
