Regalmspitze, Mountain summit in Kitzbühel District, Austria
Regalmspitze is a mountain peak in the Kaisergebirge range, rising to 2253 meters above sea level. The summit sits in the eastern section of this mountain massif and overlooks the surrounding alpine terrain.
The peak was developed in the early 1900s when marked trails were created and the Fritz Pflaum hut was built. This infrastructure helped establish the mountain as a climbing destination.
Local mountaineering clubs maintain traditional climbing routes on Regalmspitze, preserving the historical approaches while ensuring safety standards for modern climbers.
Two main routes lead to the summit: one from Gaudeamus Hut via the Gildensteig path and another from Griesner Alm through Kaiserbach valley. Your choice of route depends on your fitness level and current mountain conditions.
The summit features a challenging vertical wall known as Wandl, measuring 5 meters in height with a UIAA grade II difficulty rating.
