Hahnenkamm

Hahnenkamm is a mountain summit in the Tannheim range and stands at approximately 1,940 meters (6,365 ft) high. The peak drops away steeply and is surrounded by Alpine meadows and forests that change with elevation.

The area gained recognition for its extreme ski terrain that has been used for challenging descents for many decades. The steep slopes have long attracted athletes seeking extreme conditions.

The Streif course, extending 3,312 meters with an average gradient of 27%, represents a significant milestone in European winter sports competitions.

During summer months, multiple hiking trails are available starting from Höfen and passing through different elevation zones. The best time to explore is in warmer months when the paths are more easily walkable.

Certain sections of this mountainside display extreme slope angles that are only accessible to specialized athletes. These technically demanding passages make the terrain stand out in the Alpine region.
