Kompar

Kompar rises to an elevation of 2,011 meters in the North Tyrol Limestone Alps, featuring natural limestone formations and steep terrain throughout its slopes.

The mountain became part of the Karwendel Nature Park during the establishment of protected areas in Eastern Tyrol to preserve Alpine geological formations.

Local mountaineering groups maintain traditional climbing routes on Kompar, marking paths according to Austrian Alpine classification standards for safety documentation.

Hikers can reach the summit through a marked T2 trail starting from Hinterriss, with the Hasentalalm Mitterleger mountain hut providing supplies 1,370 meters southeast.

The mountain maintains a prominence of 215 meters and ranks as number 70 among 885 peaks in the Bezirk Schwaz region of Austria.
