Kompar

Kompar is a mountain summit in the Karwendel Range in North Tyrol, reaching 2,011 meters in height. The slopes display natural limestone rock formations and steep terrain with prominent rock faces throughout.

The mountain became part of the Karwendel Nature Park when protected areas were established in Eastern Tyrol to preserve Alpine geological formations. This designation occurred as part of regional efforts to safeguard Alpine landscapes.

Local mountaineering groups maintain traditional climbing routes on Kompar, marking paths according to Austrian Alpine classification standards for safety documentation.

The ascent to the summit follows a marked T2 trail starting from Hinterriss with clear signage throughout. The Hasentalalm Mitterleger mountain hut serves as a key stop for water and food supplies on the route.

The mountain maintains a prominence of 215 meters and ranks as number 70 among 885 peaks in the Bezirk Schwaz region of Austria.
