Karlovo waterfall

Suchurum waterfall is a cascade near Karlovo that drops approximately 15 meters over rocky formations of the Stara Planina mountain. The falling water creates small pools and basins between the stones where it collects before continuing downstream.

The waterfall has been part of the landscape since Karlovo was founded in the 1480s during the Ottoman period. From that time, the local population relied on the water flow as a resource for their daily needs.
