CityPlace, Toronto

CityPlace is a modern neighborhood in Downtown Toronto combining residential high-rises, public plazas, and commercial spaces situated between Bathurst Street and Rogers Centre. The area spans approximately 45 acres with contemporary architecture and landscaped green areas throughout.

The area developed on the site of the former Spadina Street Railway Yards, which operated from the 1850s until Canadian National moved operations northward in 1965. This transformation from railroad property into a residential neighborhood represented a major shift in the city's growth.

Canoe Landing Park shapes the neighborhood with art installations, including a large red canoe sculpture that serves as a gathering spot for residents. The public spaces draw people together for socializing and leisure throughout the year.
