Massey Tower is a residential building in downtown Toronto with 60 floors rising 208 meters on Yonge Street. The structure preserves the original exterior of a 1905 bank building that was incorporated into its base.
The original bank building was constructed in 1905 and remained a landmark on the street before sitting empty for years. The new tower started in 2014, wrapping the historic facade in a modern residential project.
The tower sits beside Massey Hall and historic theaters, making it part of Toronto's arts district. Visitors notice how modern housing coexists with the cultural venues that surround it.
The building sits in the city center and is easy to reach on foot, with shops and restaurants nearby. Keep in mind this is a private residential building with limited access to certain areas.
