Arcade Building, Office building in downtown Toronto, Canada
The Arcade Building spans ten stories with a steel and glass facade, featuring ground-floor retail space at 137 Yonge Street in Toronto.
The current structure replaced the 1884 Yonge Street Arcade, which contained 52 retail stores and served as Canada's first indoor shopping center.
The building represents the transformation of Toronto's retail landscape from traditional shopping arcades to modern mixed-use office developments.
The ground floor now houses a GoodLife Fitness center, while the upper levels provide office spaces for various businesses in downtown Toronto.
The building's exterior displays LED lighting installations that illuminate the facade since 2008, adding color to the streetscape.
