Grosser Diamantstock, Alpine summit in Bernese Oberland, Switzerland
The Grosser Diamantstock reaches an elevation of 3,162 meters above sea level, situated between three glacial valleys in the Bernese Alps.
The mountain has served as a natural boundary marker between different glacier formations: Hiendertelltigletscher, Bächligletscher, and Gruebengletscher throughout geological history.
Local mountaineering communities utilize the Grueben Hut, positioned 1,980 meters northeast of the summit, as a base for alpine expeditions.
Climbers access the mountain from Meiringen, with optimal climbing conditions occurring during the summer months of June through August.
The mountain functions as a triple junction point where three distinct glacier valleys converge, creating an unusual geographical formation.
