Tana Monastery

Tana Monastery is a Buddhist temple located in the mountainous terrain of Qinghai Province at a significant elevation. The complex comprises multiple buildings with religious spaces, residential quarters for monks, and gardens set within the surrounding landscape.

The monastery was founded as one of four major temples in the Kham region and played a central role in preserving Buddhist teachings. Over the centuries it developed into an important center for religious tradition.
