Graveyard of the National Heroes

The Graveyard of the National Heroes is a memorial site covering 5.3 hectares at the foot of Laifeng Mountain, containing the graves of 3,346 army officers and soldiers. The grounds include a memorial tower, sections for fallen soldiers, a ceremonial gateway, and educational displays explaining the context and individuals honored there.

This memorial was built in 1945 to honor soldiers who died during the four-month military campaign to reclaim the city from Japanese occupation in 1944. The site marks a significant moment in the region's conflict and serves as a physical reminder of those who gave their lives during this period.
