Hanking Center

Hanking Center is a contemporary tower reaching 358.9 meters (1,178 feet) with 65 floors above ground and 5 levels below, featuring a distinctive offset core design. The core sits separated from the main structure, connected by pedestrian bridges that allow movement between different sections of the building.

The design process began in 2012 when Morphosis Architects took on the project, with the core and shell construction completed by 2018. This development coincided with Shenzhen's expansion as a major business district.

The tower has become a landmark that defines Shenzhen's skyline and symbolizes the city's rapid growth as a center for finance and technology in southern China.

The building offers multiple entry points and internal circulation routes thanks to its separated core design, making navigation straightforward for visitors. The offset structure creates varying views from different levels, so it is worth exploring different sections to appreciate the architectural design.

The core stands approximately 35 feet (11 meters) separate from the main tower, creating an unusual building profile that changes dramatically depending on viewing angle. This unconventional separation allows for interior views and circulation patterns that differ significantly from typical high-rise designs.
