Zhongzhou Holdings Financial Center, Postmodern skyscraper in Nanshan District, China
The Zhongzhou Holdings Financial Center is a modern 61-story tower of reinforced concrete and glass rising 303 meters (994 feet) above Shenzhen's business district. Inside, a large atrium spans the upper floors alongside a 340-room hotel, while the lower levels contain office spaces.
The project began in 2008 under architect Adrian Smith's direction and was completed in 2014. Its construction marked a key moment in Shenzhen's rapid urban expansion during the early 2000s.
The building became part of Shenzhen's transformation into a modern business hub, drawing professionals from across industries to work within its spaces. Visitors can stay at the hotel upstairs or observe the rhythm of business life in the corporate areas.
The tower has 45 elevators and parking for over 1,000 vehicles, making it easy to navigate and reach by car or metro. Access to the building is convenient from Houhai Station on the Shenzhen Metro, just a short walk away.
The building's facades were specially designed through collaboration between the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design and international firms. This partnership created a distinctive look that stands out noticeably in Shenzhen's skyline among other towers.
