Bay Glory, Seaside Ferris wheel in Xin'an Subdistrict, China
Bay Glory is a Ferris wheel located on the waterfront of Xin'an Subdistrict, in Shenzhen, China, standing 128 meters tall with 28 enclosed gondolas. It sits at the edge of the bay, turning slowly above the water with the city spread out on all sides.
The wheel opened in 2021 as part of a broader effort to reshape Shenzhen's waterfront into a destination for leisure. It was built in an area that had previously seen little recreational development.
The Ferris wheel serves as a gathering place where visitors and locals experience the city from a new vantage point. It reflects how Shenzhen has transformed recreational spaces into central attractions for its growing population.
The wheel is easy to reach by metro, with signs guiding visitors from the nearest station to the entrance. A full rotation takes several minutes, so there is no need to rush once you are inside a gondola.
Some gondolas can be reserved for private events, including wedding celebrations with dedicated seating. This means a ride can double as a personal milestone, high above the bay.
