Eye of Spring Trade Center, Modern commercial complex in Kunming, China.
The Eye of Spring Trade Center is a modern commercial complex in Kunming with two skyscrapers, the main tower standing 407 meters tall across 100 floors of mixed-use spaces. The complex integrates office areas, hotel facilities, and retail zones into a unified development.
Construction began in December 2017 following the demolition of the Historic Workers' Cultural Hall at Dongfeng Square. The project was scheduled for completion around 2027, marking a major urban transformation in the city center.
The design reflects how Kunming has shifted toward modern commerce and urban development in recent decades. Walking through the complex, visitors can see how contemporary architecture now defines the city's central business district.
The complex features two underground metro stations positioned on opposite sides of Dongfeng Square, making public transportation access straightforward. Visitors can move between retail, hotel, and office areas within the building without stepping outdoors.
Upon completion, the main tower at approximately 1,335 feet (407 meters) was set to become the tallest structure in Yunnan province. This height makes the building a defining landmark visible across much of the city.
