Kapelle Althof, Brick Gothic chapel in Althof, Germany.
The chapel features a cross-ribbed vaulted brick construction with a two-bay eastern section and an octagonal choir termination at its eastern end.
Founded in 1171, twelve Cistercian monks from Amelungsborn Monastery established the original religious settlement under the guidance of Abbot Conrad.
The chapel became the burial site for the Mecklenburg princely family, with Princess Woizlawa interred there in 1172 following her death.
The structure underwent extensive renovations between 2009 and 2010, including roof replacement, structural reinforcement, and restoration of Gothic decorative elements.
A sacrificial stone remains in front of the chapel, marking the location of the Slavic uprising of 1179.
