Womrather Höhe, Mountain summit in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
Womrather Höhe is a mountain in the Hunsrück region that rises to 599 meters above sea level. At its summit stands an old observation tower called Langer Heinrich, from which you can see far across the surrounding landscape of Rhineland-Palatinate.
The mountain formed long ago as part of the natural mountain-building process of the Hunsrück region. In more recent times, land ownership around the summit changed hands through local arrangements and agreements.
The mountain features the Teufelsfels rock formation with an observation tower, known as Langer Heinrich, offering views across the Rhineland-Palatinate landscape.
You can reach the summit via marked hiking trails like the E3 or Soonwaldsteig. These paths connect various points in the area and are suitable for hikers of different abilities.
Several streams such as the Kellenbach and Hahnenbach spring from the slopes of the mountain and flow into the surrounding valleys. These water sources create small brooks that shape the landscape character of the region.
