Ellerspring

Ellerspring is the highest peak in the Soonwald area of the Hunsrück mountains, featuring marked hiking trails that connect several small villages. The terrain offers views across the surrounding landscape and valleys below.

The mountain was formed through geological processes over millions of years, shaping the valleys and waterways that define the region. Local communities established settlements in the valleys below, using the natural boundaries created by the ridge system.
